ITVT/TVOT is pleased to present another episode of “Televisionation,” our new video/audio podcast exploring the advanced/interactive-TV industry in the Coronavirus/Covid-19 Era.

This episode features Mark Simpson, President and CEO of Triveni Digital, a provider of program guide and metadata management, data-broadcasting and video-quality assurance solutions for broadcasters. The company has been closely involved in the development of ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV), and in the ongoing trials and deployments of the news standard.
Among other things, Simpson discusses Triveni’s work on ATSC 3.0, describes why the new standard is so important, casts light on how its roll-out has proceeded to date, and outlines some of the innovations—including interactive programming enhancements, distance-learning and more—that it has the potential to enable.
