Morris Day keeping in tight with the help of Jerome Benton in "Purple Rain" (1984) (Warner Bros.)

rantnrave:// I know what every Republican watching was thinking. So do you. 2020. But anyway, here are my two favorite clips from the 2016 VICE PRESIDENTIAL INTERRUPT-A-THON: this and this... You think this bed will stop me from getting married?... Does anyone know if MIKE PENCE flies? I swore he was the AMERICAN AIRLINES pilot that made us sit on the runway for 90 mins without communicating. Looks like him at least... My father had one of those old TV satellites when I was a kid. The size of a small car. You could see the live feeds on television. Even commercial breaks where news anchors would talk and do their makeup. Fun and gimmicky to watch. Love all this live video today on FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE and elsewhere. But so many tech geniuses have disdain for HOLLYWOOD they forget the simple things to emulate around video experience. They have to edit out the 40 minutes of dead, blank screen before an event starts for the archive. They have algorithms for everything, figure this out. And more: After years of decline and derision from the tech community, live video is now experiencing a resurgence led by these very same critics. Though this reversal doesn't surprise traditional network executives, it's important to understand how it has changed and why. The future of video is on-demand, but live and collective viewing will remain a critical tool for media companies. "The Death and Resurrection of Live & Communal Entertainment"... I agree with basically every word CHRIS SACCA has to say here on TWITTER... Online everything: Have a wedding this weekend in NYC and needed a quick tux rental. THE BLACK TUX made it super easy. Measurements and shipping online or you can walk into their home base or pop-ups and get fitted. Great, quick experience... My pals JASON BLUM and ALLISON WILLIAMS have a new movie directed by JORDAN PEELE coming this February: GET OUT. Now that's a f***ing trailer. I'm definitely seeing this one... EXPEDIA CEO DARA KHOSROWSHAHI on Trump... Happy Birthday to WES NICHOLS, JON BANNER, CABLE NEUHAUS, SAHAR ELHABASHI, FAISAL GALARIA and FRAN POMERANTZ.
