| | rantnrave:// VARIETY raises the relevant business questions ARIANA GRANDE's team faced in deciding whether to continue or cancel her tour after the May 22 bombing at the MANCHESTER ARENA. But there's no multiple of millions of dollars that can change the fact that it was a personal, human decision in the end,ma and it was Grande's to make. As long as it's her answer, it's the right one. She's headlining an outdoor benefit in Manchester this Sunday—13 days after the bombing—and resuming her tour three days later. By all accounts, Mancunians faced the tragedy with courage and grace, and it's heartwarming to read about all the groups pitching in to make the star-studded benefit happen, from the MANCHESTER UNITED soccer club, which rescheduled its game that day to make room for the concert, to the BBC and CAPITOL RADIO, who have cleared their Sunday night programming schedules, to TICKETMASTER, which isn't charging any fees for the show. Those are business *and* human decisions, and they're the right ones, too... Why isn't every hour of music programming on every terrestrial radio station available in on-demand podcast form? (This portion of the rant inspired by DJ SKEE's thoughts on the general failings of FM radio)... I love the LEFTOVERS as much as anyone can love a show in which several major characters are, or appear to be, suicidal. But what I'll miss the most when the show ends its three-year run Sunday is composer MAX RICHTER's haunting piano theme, which was a major character of its own in seasons one or two but has been less present in season three. An all-time fave TV score for me. (I'm less sold than others on the show's music supervision, which I wish was a little less on-the-nose)...
