You could easily have handed the EURO 2016 championship to FRANCE after PORTUGAL's CRISTIANO RONALDO went down in the first half on SUNDAY and after FRANCE appeared to spend pretty much the entire second half on the attack. But none of their balls got by goalkeeper RUI PATRÍCIO, and after two-plus hours of play there was PORTUGAL, who by all rights shouldn't have made it to the final in the first place, celebrating its improbable first major soccer title. The women's bantamweight UFC belt, which once belonged to RONDA ROUSEY like all of your free time belongs to FACEBOOK, now appears to belong to whoever is challenging for it any given moment. At SATURDAY's chaotic UFC 200, it went to AMANDA NUNES, a heavy underdog who decimated champion MIESHA TATE, who upset HOLLY HOLM, who stunned ROUSEY -- who may very well come back to fight NUNES. NUNES is also, it should be noted, the first openly gay holder of any UFC belt... Sometimes of course the winners who are supposed to win, do so. And seldom has anyone in any sport done it as often as SERENA WILLIAMS...
