How did a man who doesn't swear by the flex, who only wears athleisure gear when he's doing athletic-related activities, who, as far as we know, didn't wear a stitch of clothing with an embroidered tiger head or fur-lined shoes, take home this year's bragging rights? It's probably because he didn't embrace any of this year's most notable menswear trends.

rantnrave:// The debate over MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL barring rookies from being forced to dress up in women’s clothing continues, with differing views from inside the game and outside baseball. Is that a reflection of an insular world view that hasn’t adapted with the times? Or a sign that opponents of this form of hazing miss some valid reason for it? I think it's a regressive and childish escapade that's meant to embarrass and that uses women's clothing as a weapon. But it never hurts to continue thinking about an issue, question yourself and sharpen your argument… I’m not sure what to make of this. ZACH KLINE has played for four colleges in five years, leaving program after program to chase his dream of being a starting quarterback. Is that determination? Desperation? A perversion of college sports as anything but a football factory? I believe college athletes should be able to move freely between schools, without NCAA roadblocks, and treated no differently than regular students. But wouldn’t you question any other student if they bounced around that much?... How much do the viewing habits of NHL fans differ from fans of other sports? I’d love to see a study of how we consume our sports… Can this bit of ratings news -- that last week's RAMS game rated higher in their old home than their new one -- be both embarrassing for the Rams and the NFL and sad for their left-behind ST. LOUIS fans?... This is a very odd assertion for BOB STOOPS to make. He didn’t kick JOE MIXON out of OKLAHOMA two and a half years ago when he was charged with punching a woman but says he’d have to do it now after video of the incident was released last week. The implication is clear: that Stoops is reacting to public opinion. And that any statements he makes about what his players can and can’t do is a response to what he thinks the public wants to hear. Does this reinforce what football teams from the GIANTS to Oklahoma have been showing us all year long: That they care about domestic violence only as much as the PR fallout?... SportsREDEF is on a reduced schedule for the holidays. We'll be publishing a special edition on the best sports moments of 2016 on Monday... The next regular edition of SportsREDEF will be published Wednesday, Dec. 28... And one last thing: Happy holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
