| A wonderful good afternoon from a balmy Island of Crete. I run every day, even in the hottest months. And these days I'm on a new streak - to see how many nights in a row I can sleep in my own bed. And I'm using this time at home to learn a ton of new skills. The beauty of our current situation is that suddenly, everyone is clamouring to move their events into cyberspace. From the comfort of my own home, I can listen to podcasts and online courses, usually at 2x. Remote learning is not at all like being in a normal classroom. It has many advantages: Lecturer speaking too softly? Simply up the volume. Screaming toddler needs attention? Simply watch the replay. Too shy to ask a question? Simply send a text message. Lecturer too slow for incredible brain? Simply listen later at 2x. Fonts too small? Simply zoom in. Forgot what was said? Simply go over the lesson again.
