JCrete 2019 Lottery Now Open By Dr Heinz M. Kabutz JCrete is our annual invitation-only Java unconference on the Island of Crete (http://www.jcrete.org). Numbers are kept deliberately low, typically less than 100. As with every year, we allocate some of the spaces at JCrete in a lottery. Since you are a subscriber to The Java(tm) Specialists' Newsletter, I would like to invite you to give it a try by filling in the form. Nothing is guaranteed - there is a huge demand for these seats. We do not have a conference fee, so you cannot buy your seat either. (Trust me, a lot have tried ...) We all pay our own way, including a small facility fee to the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC). It's a lot of fun and a great learning experience. We start the evening for the 14th of July and finish with a dinner on the 19th. JCrete4Kids is on the 20th, organized separately by Ioannis Kostaras together with the OAC. A lot of us bring our families and either come a few days earlier or stay a bit longer. There is a lot to see on the Island of Crete. Kind regards Heinz P.S. A nice video that Oracle filmed for the community keynote at Oracle Code One 2018. Make sure to view at 1080p. |
