Every year we have a lottery for extremely limited seats at JCrete®. Winners will have to still pay their share of the unconference expenses plus their own travel over to Crete.
Good evening from Crete! We are again running our annual Java Unconference JCrete in Kolymbari at the Orthodox Academy of Crete. It is the think tank of Java's thought leaders, where everyone is invited to participate and talk in our sessions. We run JCrete "unconference style", with the "Law of Two Feet" - if you are neither giving nor receiving, please get up and go to another session - although the discussions are so fascinating that I rarely do that :-) Last year we had 74 attendees, of which 37 (exactly half) were Java Champions. And we managed to pull off a successful JCrete, despite it starting two days after CrowdStrike took out most airlines. That was nail biting. Our list of invited attendees is already quite long, but we do want to open up a lottery for those who would love to join us. Even if your name isn't picked this year, perhaps in future we can find a space for you. Dates are August 4-8, starting already the evening of the 3rd with a sundowner and lots of animated discussions at the academy. To add your name to the lottery, please enter your details here. We are going to pick names on the 15th of March, so please enter your details as soon as possible if you'd like to add your name into the hat. Thank you so much! Heinz | |
