Because she died so young and was replace as Cinema’s sex Goddess two decades later my Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow was the Queen of the Silver Screen in the 1930s. You could say she was the First. But, a sudden fatal illness took her away at the shocking young age of only 26. . Forgotten by most people today who have been inundated with Marilyn Monroe propaganda, Jena Harlow was a force to be reckon with. Ms Harlow being captured by the master photographer George Hurrell as Marilyn was by Andre de Dienes. Many movie aficionados believe that Jean was even more photogenic then the iconic exponentially more photographed Marilyn Monroe. . There were movies made about her in the 1950s and Marilyn was even offered a part. However, no one could duplicate that special Harlow magic. (just look at the photo above!) .
