Jennifer Lopez has shared more details about the moment Ben Affleck got down on one knee and proposed for the second time.

In Tuesday's edition of her On the JLo newsletter, the actor revealed, "Saturday night while at my favourite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed."

JLo admitted that she was "taken totally off guard" but "just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time" when Affleck then asked if her reaction meant that she had accepted.

Acknowledging that this was the second time Affleck had asked for her hand in marriage, Lopez wrote, "It was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could've ever imagined...just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other. Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love."

Attached to the email were two close-up snaps of the green diamond ring and a video in which the 52-year-old echoes her proposal story.
