This month’s gathering is extra special because we’ll be celebrating the opening of our exhibition From the Andes to the Caribbean: American Art from the Spanish Empire with exhibition tours and other related activities. Visit the Materials Lab to relax and ponder over cacao and gold: two materials extracted from the Americas. Explore the history and tastes of cacao with conversation prompts and a Taza chocolatier, and have fun stenciling a card with golden motifs inspired by a work from the exhibition. In the courtyard, relax with a beer from the featured local vendor Aeronaut Brewing Company, or try some delicious island cuisine from Somerville’s Pikliz International Kitchen.
