A Teen Residential Program and Community Counseling Center

We’ve had an unprecedented response to Jammin for Joy 2025. Our tournament is full of players at 500, with many teams on the waiting list hoping to get in. Not only has this become a significant fundraiser for The Joy House, but it has become a premier pickleball tournament here in Georgia. This will be our largest tournament to date as it continues to grow in it’s 5th year.

Although the tournament field is full we have some great opportunities for business sponsorships. We have 500 players and guests coming from all over Georgia and the southeast. We already have commitments from approximately 30 sponsors, but we still have room for others to join. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of your brand among these pickleball players and we’ll also promote you through our social media platforms. We have the following sponsorship opportunities still available.

       Food Sponsorship ($1000) – 3 Available
       Snack Sponsor ($500)
       Court Sponsor ($250) – Unlimited

You can get the details on these sponsorships by following the button below to our tournament page and simply click the “Sponsorship” button.

Another way to partner with us is through door prizes.  We add value and fun to our player experience by giving away these door prizes. If you would like to provide merchandise, gift basket, or gift card as part of our prizes that would be a great blessing. If you are interested in doing that please reach out to me via email (steve@thejoyhouse.org) letting me know of your desire to partner with us.

Please be in prayer for this 4 day event as it will an important fund raising event for The Joy House and also a great way for us to introduce the ministry to other potential partners.

Jammin' for Joy

As we prepare to step away from our role as houseparents, Chase and I find ourselves overwhelmed with a mix of emotions- gratefulness, love, sadness, and peace. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, not only for the girls who have come through our doors but for us as individuals, as a couple, and as a family.

We came into this role wide-eyed, prayerful, and eager to love well. We didn’t know what all this would entail, but we knew we were being called to walk alongside families, to be a safe place, and to love these teenage girls through both their storms and their sunshine. What we found was more than a calling—it was a home built not by bricks, but by late-night talks, healing tears, shared prayers, and unconditional love.

To the girls who lived under our roof, thank you. You changed us. You taught us more than we ever expected to learn—about resilience, about forgiveness, and about the power of showing up daily, even on the hard days. We saw you face fears, push through grief, and open your hearts despite all the reasons you had not to. We watched you grow—not just in age, but in strength, in faith, and in confidence. Each of you carried a story that was uniquely yours, and we are honored to have been trusted with a few chapters of it.

Some of our sweetest memories will always be the everyday moments. The kitchen being filled with music and laughter while we cooked and prepped dinner together. We will always cherish the times when we gathered around the table on Friday nights for a competitive board game, laughing over who was the most dramatic during Herd Mentality or  the most competitive in Sushi Go. Lets not forget loading up the van for our bi-weekly Speed Burger dinner runs (because let’s be honest, nothing beats a Thursday night chicken tender meal and sometimes milkshakes with y’all). Those little rhythms became sacred. We will always remember the countless van rides filled with singing and conversations, and even the hard days when tears turned into breakthrough. They were moments of connection, comfort, and joy that we’ll always carry with us.

Chase had a way of connecting with you all through so many different ways. Whether it was jump-scaring you from behind corners or cracking a dry joke at just the right moment, he was always ready with a listening ear, a calm spirit, and a heart that never stopped caring. As for me, well, I’ve laughed with you, cried with you, prayed over you, and walked every step with the heart of a mama. Together, we’ve watched as some of you started to believe in your worth, find your voice, and step into who God created you to be. That has been the greatest joy of all. We will always be so thankful that God orchestrated for our paths to cross and for each of you to come into our home and carve a positive pathway for your future. We’ve always been so proud of each and every one of you. While we may no longer be in the same physical space, our prayers, our hearts, and our love remain with each of you. You are deeply loved. You are never alone. You will always have a place in our story.

To the team and staff at The Joy House, thank you for walking with us in ministry. Your support on the tough days, your encouragement during transitions, and your dedication to these girls made this work possible. We’ve learned so much from being in community with you, about faith, teamwork, and what it really means to love like Jesus.

As we turn this page, please know we don’t take this goodbye lightly. It’s not just a job we’re leaving behind, it’s pieces of our hearts that will stay rooted in every memory, every lesson, and every girl who left her mark on our lives. This season will always be one of the most meaningful we’ve ever experienced, and we know it was God-ordained from the beginning.

Last week, The Joy House had the tremendous privilege of taking several of our young ladies to beach camp with Woodstock Church Jasper—a week filled with laughter, worship, sunshine, and most of all, the unmistakable movement of God.

Each day we opened God’s Word and journeyed through the Book of James—a powerful reminder that faith isn’t just something we hear… it’s something we live. And for our girls, that truth hit home.

For some, this trip marked the beginning of a new chapter in their walk with the Lord. For others, it was a time to dig deeper, ask honest questions, and let God speak into places they had long kept guarded. A few wrestled quietly with what life would look like after camp—how to carry this fire into the everyday. But in every story, God was faithful.

We saw walls begin to break down. We heard prayers that hadn’t been spoken in a long time. We watched as moments of stillness became holy ground. It wasn’t loud or flashy. It was real. And that’s what makes it lasting.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…”

—James 1:22 (ESV)

That verse came alive in the lives of our students. They weren’t just moved—they were met by a God who sees, heals, and transforms. And they responded in small but significant ways—through reflection, courage, and surrender.

We’re so grateful to Woodstock Church Jasper for creating an environment where our girls felt safe, seen, and saturated in truth. And to every supporter of The Joy House—thank you. Because of your generosity, these young women were able to experience something eternal.

Moments like these don’t just change a week—they change a life.

Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep creating space for transformation. And let’s keep trusting the One who never stops working.

My house got the chance to go to beach camp with Woodstock Church Jasper. It was an amazing week filled with fun games and worship. We took a step back and focused on the Lord through the preaching of James. One night the pastor preached on James 3, taming the tongue. This passage really stuck out to me as I learned that words are powerful. We have the power to speak life with our words, rather than talking negatively. The pastor also said that what is in the heart is what comes out. So fill your head and your heart with positive things. While I am at The Joy House I am put in a little bubble but I was reminded by this sermon that I still control my actions and my words. I learned I need to be positive and speak life. I'm so very blessed to have gotten the opportunity go to beach camp.
We’re looking for the next great leader of our school who is passionate about Christ, teens and education. If you are a teacher who wants to return to the roots of education impacting individual students, this may be a great opportunity for you. This is a small classroom setting where you really have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the students and help them realize their God-given potential.
