After the success of last year’s inaugural “Jammin for Joy” pickleball tourney fundraiser we’re super excited for this year’s event which will be bigger and better. We’re expanding the format this year to a two day event on Friday/Saturday August 12/13th which includes Men’s & Women’s doubles on Friday followed by Mixed Doubles on Saturday. We also will have three different levels of play this year: 3.0, 3.5, & 4.0+. We’re looking to welcome 120 to 140 pickleball players to Bent Tree over the course of those two days. Last year several of our players were delighted with their player packs and door prizes which are not a normal part of every tournament. We’re seeking to make this a great experience for our players that they will want to return to each year. I hope several of our pickleball playing friends will consider joining us to play. A tournament registration link has been included below. We’re looking for sponsors to partner with us to grow the success of this year’s tourney. Based on the success we had last year we’ve expanded our sponsorships for this year. This is a great way to advertise for your company. The pickleball community is large and growing as it is the fastest growing recreational sport in the nation. I’ve met some great people as a part of the pickleball community over the past 2 to 3 years. It is a unique community. I’ve included a link below where you can access our sponsorship information. How about door prizes? Can you partner with us this way. We would like to collect about 40 door prizes to give away to our players. This would include gift cards to great restaurants, products from your company, etc… Please help us spread the word about this year’s tourney. While having a great time enjoying pickleball we’ll be raising funds to continue making a difference in the lives of those we’re privileged to serve through The Joy House. |

Our time at The Joy House has been nothing short of a blessing. We have felt so loved and welcomed from the day we stepped foot onto campus. Being able to watch our residents achieve their goals is one of our favorite things we could be a part of. Chase and I are often asked how are we able to do such a “crazy” job. In reality, this isn’t something crazy to Chase and I. It’s simply a honor to be trusted to serve teen girls and help them learn responsibilities such as cleaning, cooking, house upkeep and so much more. Ministry has always been a huge role for Chase and I. From working with teens in a youth group to working with kids in foster care of all ages to now working at The Joy House as teen girls house parents. I can’t express how amazing this experience is. Though we are here to help these teens, we are still learning every day by simply seeing the Word come alive in these girls. They continue to exceed our expectations in the best of ways. We are always getting into the Word of God daily and we love to see how the girls respond to certain topics of the Gospel. Whether it be a response with a lot of questions or a simple statement that starts a discussion, we are able to disciple the girls and pray that they will receive the Gospel or at least have that seed planted to soon flourish. We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful ministry. |

We are currently seeking a married couple for a full-time house-parenting position in our boy’s home. With the building project getting closer to completion we are excited to take this next step. No prior experience is needed, as training will be provided. Must be a mature Christian couple that has a strong desire to share Christ’s love with the teens and their families. Applicants must be married at least 3 years with no more than 2 children of their own. While modeling a Christian family, we ask the house-parents to provide care, nurturing, and structure for up to seven teen boys. They are supported by a five-person treatment team all focused on helping one another serve the teen and family in need. |
