The attorney general wanted Baton Rouge judge Don Johnson to let Louisiana's abortion ban remain in effect while the 1st Circuit Court of Appeal takes up the matter. Johnson previously issued a preliminary injunction against the ban, but the expectation is that a court or the Legislature will soon put a ban back in place.
