I have been making art since I was a child and made critters from clay dirt, drawing on my school papers (which my primary teachers did not appreciate). In 1995 I began painting watercolors, but after an introduction to collage and acrylics , a world of possibilities opened up for me. What a grand journey. Judy was born in Nebraska, raised in Michigan and has lived in Florida since 1995. She is almost a Florida native!
Music, nature and travel inspire her artwork. She responds to the surface as she creates and through this internal dialogue, she works until she is willing to share her painting with the collective art world. While this process of creating can produce a very fresh painterly outcome, it may also create a "painters roadblock" where she will continue to process and paint until she has created a beautiful surface. Judy loves working in many mediums: acrylic, oil and cold wax, as well as creating sculptures. Her challenge is to push her paintings and creations past preconceived boundaries.
Judy has her artwork in both public and in private collections in the US and in private collections in Europe.
Judy loves to do commissions. She will work with you and with the ambience in your home in a color palette that you love. She creates work via photos of your space and surrounding areas of your home as well as having good discussions with you in order to make your piece special for you. |
