Join us for our new monthly virtual series, Caregiver Connection! Each month we will spend an hour together discussing resources and hosting experts from the community. In July’s intro webinar we will review BCDA’s Caregiver Support Program and discuss general resources available. We would love to hear feedback on what our caregivers are looking for, so please join and help us build a series that will be helpful for you and the rest of our caregiving community! Contact the senior center to register. Resource Spotlight of the Month: Have you had the opportunity to check out the events and services available through Dementia Friendly Baltimore County? Dementia Friendly offers FREE educational sessions to raise awareness and understanding, so that we can learn how to support those living with dementia, and their care partners. Living with Dementia Roadmap Series Dementia Friendly Baltimore County is also hosting a series of webinars to help individuals navigate through the journey of a dementia diagnosis. Getting Help at Home with Community Resources July 10 - 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sara Kuhn, Community Relations Director, Inspirations Assisted Living & Memory Care Reminder, we still have spots open on TRUALTA for caregivers! Trualta is a free, online platform that provides 24/7 support and education for caregivers. You’ll have access to a library of information tailored to your specific needs, as well as virtual support groups and care coaches. It is a one-stop-shop for caregiver education! Save the Dates for some other fun coming up this Fall: No Senior Eats Alone Day – Thursday, Sept. 11 - The BCDA’s goal of this day is to help make older adults feel valued and connected, establish better eating habits, and improve nutrition and health. Annual Caregiver Conference – Friday, Nov. 14 – Randallstown Recreation Center: Let’s celebrate National Family Caregivers Month at the Annual BCDA Caregiver Conference, based on our initiative, “Living Longer, Living Well”.
