By KELLY P. KISSEL An East Baton Rouge Parish jury doesn't want people shooting at unarmed burglars who are running away. A jury has convicted a Zachary man of doing just that back in 2017. The man caught three burglars in his home, and according to prosecutors he shot at them as they ran away, killing one. At LSU, a researcher is using fabric that reacts to different temperatures to monitor children for fevers. She says the the new technology could be especially helpful for new parents who aren't sure when to call a doctor for their kids.
