HEADLINES - RAW & UNVERIFIED |
‘Serious loophole’: GOP widens probe into ActBlue, Dem fundraising platform helping Harris raise millions Whistleblowers accused ActBlue of deliberately not using CVV numbers for donations to reduce the bar for verification. Whistleblowers have also reported the receipt of a significant number of donations from retirees living on a fixed income and hundreds of donations of $2.50 from the same individual. Former Secret Service director tried to deep-six investigation into cocaine found at White House: Report At least one Uniformed Division officer was initially assigned to investigate the cocaine incident. But after he told his supervisors, including Cheatle and Ronald Rowe, that he wanted to follow a certain crime-scene investigative protocol, he was taken off the case. Poll: Majority Rate Secret Service’s Performance ‘Fair’ or ‘Poor,’ Democrats Disagree Across the board, 73% of Republicans, 51% of independents, and just 37% of Democrats rate the job of the Secret Service as either “fair” or “poor.” More Than Half of Americans Think the First Amendment Provides Too Many Rights "Evidently, one out of every two Americans wishes they had fewer civil liberties," said one researcher. "This is a dictator's fantasy." Michigan Launches Snitch Line to Stop ‘Election Misinformation’ “Just as election officials have a duty to detect election misinformation and quickly provide correct information based on the law, voters have a responsibility to proactively seek out reliable sources of information and encourage productive and honest dialogue.” Gorsuch slams government agencies acting as ‘prosecutor and judge’ in new book Gorsuch underscored the inherent conflict of interest in agency adjudications, conducted by agency-appointed administrative law judges. “Often [an ALJ] is just another agency employee. Tomorrow, he could be transferred to another post — perhaps writing rules or enforcing them,” Gorsuch wrote. Michael Anton: You are the enemy USA Today recently published a piece excoriating Project 2025 and all who worked on it as (you guessed it) “racist.” I had very little to do with Project 2025, but my name ended up on the thing, so I suppose, according to the sketchy rules of “journalistic ethics,” that makes me “fair game.” Ashli Babbitt $30 million wrongful death suit gets first hearing Judicial Watch announced the hearing will happen on Tuesday. The premotion conference will be held via video with Biden appointed Judge Ana Reyes. ‘QAnon Shaman’ may retrieve ‘spear and helmet’ from Jan. 6 riot: Judge “The government has failed to establish that it still needs Mr. Chansley’s property as evidence,” the judge wrote. He pointed out that extensive video and photographic documentation of Chansley’s actions on Jan. 6 existed, diminishing the necessity of retaining his physical items. Hurricane Debby blows $1 million worth of cocaine onto Florida beach Debby carried more than two dozen 70-pound packages of cocaine ashore as winds topped 80 miles per hour, U.S. Border Patrol said. |

Harris vice presidential battle gets nasty Progressives have increasingly targeted Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, over his stances on Israel and handling of pro-Hamas protests. The left wing of the party (is there a non-left wing of the party?) is increasingly pushing for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be the pick. Babylon Bee: Democrats Worried Choosing Jewish Vice President May Cost Them The All-Important 'Death To America' Vote "I think Josh is very qualified to be Harris's VP pick," Chuck Schumer told the press over the weekend. "I do worry he might discourage those wishing to obliterate the U.S. and wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. We really need those votes." Kamala Harris’ Official Website Lists No Policy Positions Or Platform With only 15 days remaining before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, political analysts, pundits, and social media users are noting that Harris’ official campaign website lacks any mention of policies she plans to advance should she win this fall’s presidential election. Kamala Harris Wants a Reparations Commission Like California's, Which Called to Decriminalize Public Urination The reparations bill supported by Harris would set up an independent commission similar to the one in California that called for sweeping changes to the criminal code in addition to monetary payouts to black Americans. Kamala Harris is a descendant of an Irish slave owner in Jamaica Hamilton Brown, from County Antrim, was paid the equivalent of millions in compensation by the British government after the ban forced him to free slaves. Meet the Al-Qaeda Lawyers Advising Team Harris Does Harris share the views of her most influential advisers? Does she support a plea deal for KSM or his transfer from Gitmo to a civilian court? Does she support the death penalty? How would anyone even know? The exodus from Kamala Harris’ California continues In just the last four years, Chevron, SpaceX, Charles Schwab, and Oracle have all left California. And major corporations aren’t the only ones leaving. California has led the United States in outstate migration for a generation now.

Trump says Canadian PM Trudeau is Fidel Castro’s son "They say he’s the son of Fidel Castro and could be. Anything is possible in this world," he said. The Canadian government has denied this story in the past. Trudeau’s parents claimed to have never visited Cuba until after Trudeau was born. The comment could insult a critical national ally. |

NASA May Be Forced to Send Boeing's Starliner Back Empty Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from a NASA port aboard a faulty ship. Their ride was Boeing's Starliner, set out for just two weeks, but issues kept them stuck in space, no return date released. Discussions went round and round, to send it back alone, with hopes a SpaceX Dragon capsule might safely bring them home. The thrusters failed, the batteries low, the fate of Starliner unknown, but NASA and Boeing insist there's nothing wrong.
