| The best and brightest in sports media were at the New York Athletic Club on Central Park South this morning to celebrate the winners and honorable mentions at the 7th annual Sports Media Awards Breakfast. The event attracted a record-setting crowd of sports community elite who cheered each other on as they were lauded in a lively two-hour ceremony. "The Cynopsis Sports Awards continued to recognize the passionate stories coming from both behind and in-front of the camera," said Chris Pursell, Director of Content at Cynopsis Sports. "We are honored to continue that tradition and thank the industry for their continued support of the event." High points included presentations to our Luminary Award honorees: Stephen Espinoza, Showtime Network’s President of Sports & Event Programming; Intel Sports, accepted by General Manager and VP James Carwana; SiriusXM's President & CCO Scott Greenstein; and USTA's President & Chairman of the Board, Katrina Adams. In presentations that were by turns touching, funny and reverential, it was clear these are leaders who not only innovate, but inspire.
On hand to help with presenting duties - and lend a little starpower - were NBA standout Elizabeth Williams, MSG and ESPN Broadcaster Arda Ocal, National Sports Broadcaster Seth Everett, and host & founder of Walk Swiftly Productions Bonnie Bernstein.
