SelectCoder Tip of the Week

Coders should only assign ICD-10-CM code M32.0 (drug-induced systemic lupus erythematosus) when the documentation clearly confirms that the systemic lupus diagnosis is secondary to the effects of a drug. An additional code from categories T36-T50 should be used to identify the drug.
