+ REGISTER TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP "PLANNING SOLAR SYSTEM OBSERVATIONS WITH JWST" (ESA/ESTEC, The Netherlands; 13-15 December 2017).
The registration deadline for the workshop "Planning Solar System Observations with JWST" has been extended to 1 December 2017. This 2.5-day workshop will include a mixture of presentations, hands-on training, and question and answer sessions. If you are planning to submit a Solar System proposal as part of the JWST general observer (GO) call, this is the perfect opportunity to get the latest news, practice with the proposal preparation tools, and get answers to your questions.

+ REGISTER AND SUBMIT ABSTRACTS FOR THE SYMPOSIUM "EARLY SCIENCE WITH JWST" (Liverpool, UK; 3-4 April 2018).
We are pleased to announce the symposium "Early Science with JWST" (3-4 April 2018) that will be held during the EWASS 2018 meeting (3-6 April 2018). The abstract submission deadline is 27 November 2017. We are welcoming contributions related to JWST's science, with an emphasis on science that will or could be conducted during its first years of scientific operation.

+ INPUT WELCOME FOR JWST'S EARLY RELEASE OBSERVATIONS.
The James Webb Space Telescope Early Release Observation Committee welcomes suggestions from the astronomical community for early targets to showcase the observatory's capabilities.
The JWST Early Release Observations (ERO) will be among the first images and spectra taken during the commissioning of the observatory as it gets ready for scientific observations. They will showcase JWST's instruments and scientific capabilities. + JWST FOCUS MEETING AT THE 2018 IAU GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN VIENNA.
Registration is open for the IAU General Assembly (GA) to be held in Vienna, Austria, 20-31 August 2018. Next year's IAU GA will include a Focus Meeting on JWST's science capabilities and mission status. The Focus Meeting will comprise a mix of invited and contributed talks distributed over 6 sessions spanning 20-22 August 2018. Mark your calendars!
