RecognizeGood

Because good matters.

“The people that we're recognizing, the hearts that you will see from these people are just flat-out inspirational.”

— Bobby Jenkins, ABC Home & Commercial Services

“People pick up very quickly when there are inconsistencies. I think it serves business owners very well to spend a little time thinking about, 'My values are X. How can I make sure those values I hold really personal are reflected in my business activities?'”

— John P. O'Sullivan, Managing Director, Per Stirling Capital Management

The RecognizeGood Ethics Accelerator workshop series is offered monthly, bringing expert facilitators and principled business leaders together to focus on building strong businesses by DOING GOOD from three key perspectives:

  1. People Practices (company culture drivers)
  2. Tone From The Top (leadership)
  3. Me, Myself, and I (individual)

This series will introduce expert thought leaders while also crowdsourcing the education process. The goal of each workshop is to illustrate a roadmap to making business better by illuminating examples of others who go above and beyond. Attendees will dig into the data, learn best practices, share their own, and connect with other like-minded Austin-area business leaders.

Our January workshop is "Tone From The Top," sharing leadership development techniques and examples for not only leaders, but aspiring leaders. Featuring:

  • Scholley Bubenik: owner of Premier HR solutions with over 25 years of senior management experience, with a Master's Degree from the University of Texas in HR Leadership and recently published author of People Power: An Entrepreneur's Guide to Managing Human Capital.
  • Bob Lewis: principal of Lewis Training and Consulting and Lead Training Consultant for Texas Parks and Wildlife with a Master's Degree in Educational Management and over 25 years of experience in behavioral interviewing, leadership development, public education, and human resources.
  • William Laing: leader currently involved in succession planning at Radiation Detection Company, a local manufacturer who moved over 80% of its employees from California to Central Texas - in large part due to the company's amazing culture and strong values.
  • Along with other unique video perspectives from Austin-area business leaders!

Attendees will discover tools to improve talent acquisition, reduce turnover and add purpose to the employment offered by their organization, as well as to engage themselves and others through GOOD. Customers, vendors and business partners will have the opportunity to learn measurable, tangible ways business attendees are working to exceed expectations in the values they stand for, and understand the long-term investments being made in accountability, reputation and example.

Trade your feedback for a Certificate of Completion and two complimentary seats to the 2019 Ethics in Business Awards Luncheon, where all of Central Texas gathers to celebrate the absolute best of the best in ethical business examples.

Lunch will be provided! One CE credit for human resources professionals pending approval.
