Chinese New Year is on February 5, 2019. If you celebrate this holiday, here is a modern twist showing how you can use a Christmas wreath and transform it into a Chinese New Year wreath. It is great to display over the fireplace or anywhere inside your home. To display outside laminate the red lucky envelopes.

I was looking to buy an off-shoulder sweatshirt when I noticed that most of them cost $10 to $15 more than their pre-cut counterparts. There is a super simple way to cut them to make them hang off your shoulder just right. Here's how to do it.
While the swirl pattern looks complicated, but it is actually pretty easy to make. Learn how to do it with this short video.

This Crown Royal bag quilt was fun and easy to make. I split the bags in half and cut the sides to get a straight line and uniform size. To square off the bags, I made a triangle pattern to get a straight line.

I made these as stocking stuffer snowmen for my adult children, but they are a treat anytime of the year! Unfortunately I didn't take a final photo of them with their "faces on", but it was a simply drawn as a bunch of dots (similar to smiley faces really) made with a Betty Crocker Easy Writer 4 decorator pen.

I wanted to make a fun necklace with scrap fabric, a bunch of beads I had laying around, alongside with some beads I made out of cornstarch awhile back.

The weather is rainy and cold here. My son was starting to miss the outdoor activities that he loves, like playing in the sandbox. So I decided to bring the sandbox to him!

Get your inspiration from the desert when making this birthday card, suitable for a man. Use colored sand, a small twig, and small pieces of tree bark and turn these into a unique artwork, reminiscent of the beauty of a desert. Definitely the type of card that a nature lover will appreciate!

Love You Madly Vinyl Record Underplate
By Benetta
Paris is often called the "City of Love." Use some French inspiration to show your Cupid just how much you love him. Turn old long play vinyl records into underplates/chargers. Use these when you set the table for your romantic Valentine's Day dinner. A good way to turn trash into meaningful treasure!

This simple bracelet is made from colourful pages taken out of glossy magazines. It is easy to make and needs only a few materials. You could also add glitter, ribbons, or sticky jewels at the end to bling it up a bit if you like.

Make Gift Bags from Seasonal Throws
By mom-from-missouri
This time of the year, after Christmas, the stores all have Christmas throws on sale. I got several from a dollar store for $2 each last year. This year I gave a few for gifts, and took 2 of them and sewed them together on 3 sides, making a large bag (like a large pillowcase).

This is such a pretty and fashionably messy gift tag. You don't have to make yours exactly the same. After making one, I hope I have encouraged you to design your own. Have a search around to see what bits and pieces you have to make one in your own unique style.

This is a pretty and a little bit sparkly hair clip with three dainty flowers. Make one to match your outfit. These would be a great seller at bazaars and craft fairs.

Create a simple decorator touch for your family room or front hallway using old keys. Gather a few old keys from rummage sales or flea markets or ask your friends or family if you can get a few.

These cool candy bowls are fun to make and you can eat them once the candy in them is gone!

You know those little tops on hairsprays and other styling products? I found one on the washer one day, put it on my finger and thought, hey, this is just like a thimble! You just need to dress it up a bit before using. It works great and is way prettier than the thimbles I actually bought.
Decoupaged Box Lid Using Old Calendar Pages
By Sherry Hampton
This is a paper mache box bought at WalMart, painted outside blue and inside off white. I like to save my calendars, I really like Victorian, farms and landscapes.
Save Cardboard Boxes for Paint Projects and Jigsaw Puzzles
By Robyn Fed
This year, I put lots of gifts in the cardboard decorated boxes you can buy at the dollar store. I noticed they were perfect for art projects, to protect furniture, and to store after the children are through with them.
