The Golden Goose Wars President Donald Trump spent much of Thursday morning on the attack against Fox News, retweeting countless viewers pledging to leave the network and claiming their ratings have tanked since his election in 2016, calling himself the "golden goose" that disloyal Fox betrayed and so on. Trump kicked off his day on Twitter by continuing to dispute the 2020 election results, and thanking Scott Baio rearranging mugs at a Michael’s store. Later on, Trump started retweeting loads of random accounts of people claiming they are dropping Fox and moving over to smaller competitors Newsmax and One America News Network. Many of those retweets seemed to be sourced from the Twitter mentions of Fox News host Greg Gutfeld. A Week Later The election was a week ago, today. And today, the commander in chief pivoted from his frenzy against Fox to an all caps promotion of a debunked conspiracy theory promoted by OANN White House reporter Chanel Rion. In the "battles you probably never thought about" category, Trump's continuing war on math has resulted in the popular British betting platform Bet365 caught up in a fight with gamblers who had bet on Trump winning. The site agreed with the data that Biden has won the election and settled bets accordingly. The Trump bettors loudly disagree. Maybe these people should be reading The Blaze's Leon Wolf, who breaks down some of the hogwash. New Polling Data A new poll found that America’s popularity has increased across the world following Biden's projected election victory in all but two listed countries. Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, and the United Kingdom all reported more positive views of the United States following the election, while support fell in China and Russia, according to a just-out survey. Quiet part loud NBC News White House correspondent Pete Alexander reported that a Trump aide boasted that President Donald Trump’s brand is so big following his first term that he could “monetize” it in a number of ways, including “even Trump Moscow that he’s wanted all these years.” Obama on W. (and more) Colby Hall: CNN’s Jeff Zeleny got his hands on a 700-page preview copy of part one (!) of Barack Obama’s memoir and is reporting on various bon mots throughout the day. We’ve covered a portion in which the 44th president bitterly calls out President Donald Trump’s divisive exploitation of racist themes. Obama also shared some genuinely kind and gracious words for his predecessor, George W. Bush. During a morning appearance on CNN Newsroom, Zeleny shared another passage that is completely relevant to the news of this very moment: how capably the 43rd president helped lead a smooth transition to the Obama administration, which left the 44th president remarkably impressed. 6.5.0 |
