Forum on the Road, International Ocean Film Festival, KQED Silicon Valley Conversations, Free Admission to the Asian Art Museum
| 2018 marks Michael Krasny's 25th anniversary as host of KQED's Forum program. To commemorate that milestone, Forum on the Road is back for a new series of in-depth live broadcasts reaching out across the Bay Area. On Tuesday, March 6, Michael brings the show to the historic Empress Theatre in downtown Vallejo, 9-11am. The waterfront city has undergone major changes since declaring bankruptcy 10 years ago. We'll talk with Mayor Bob Sampayan and other guests about the local economy, the burgeoning arts scene and the experience of being one of the country's most diverse cities. | |

| How can we see the human in the divine and the divine in the human? Through images of gods and goddesses, buddhas and bodhisattvas, humans and their environments — whether sculpted centuries ago or photographed recently — the new Asian Art Museum exhibit Divine Bodies invites you to ponder the power of transformation, the possibility of transcendence and the relationship of the body to the cosmos. Join KQED for a Member Day at the Asian Art Museum on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31. Admission is free to KQED members plus one guest (total of two persons per KQED MemberCard). Tickets are based on day-of availability only. | |
