JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles presents “Hiromi Asai – Artisanal Kimono Fabric in Modern Fashion” to showcase U.S.-based fashion designer Hiromi Asai, known for her elegant contemporary spin on the heritage and craftsmanship of the Japanese kimono. The event will spotlight 16 looks followed by a designer’s talk. Asai’s acclaimed creation, the “1,000 Year Coat” – which debuted at this year’s New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, and celebrates the kimono’s more than 1,000-year-old history in Japan will also be featured. U.S. Classic Guitar President William Jenks is excited to present the legendary classical guitarist David Russell for the next concert of the 2020 Los Angeles International Guitar Series inaugural season. Mr. Russell was inducted into the Guitar Foundation of America Hall of fame in 2018, received an honorary doctorate from the University of Arizona in 2014, and won a Grammy Award for best solo classical instrumental album in 2004.
