University Lakes work appears paused, but remains on schedule

While it appears work on the University Lakes is paused, it's just moved to a different venue. Crews are looking at samples of material taken from the bottom of the lakes to determine the best way to move forward with dredging. A multi-million-dollar project is intended to improve the lakes' appearance and bring in more recreation options.

It looks like there will be a new way to dispense Tabasco hot sauce. The pepper-sauce maker has filed paperwork with the state revealing plans to offer its product in a pouch.

Drug transactions at a car wash, "taco place" and various locations are featured in a federal indictment. Prosecutors say the ring did business at a number of everyday places in the Baton Rouge area.
