Good afternoon,

How do you feel about the prospect of masks becoming optional after July 19?

I was one of the first to begin wearing a face cover in my town prior to it becoming law, regardless of the funny looks, and I think I will just feel more comfortable continuing to, particularly in busy environments.

Following last night's announcement, Lancashire County Council’s public health boss advised residents to continue wearing masks where they are currently required until at least 90% of the eligible population have had both jabs.

And while there is clearly still a very real health benefit to masks, a Preston-based human behaviour expert is concerned about the emotional impact the easing of the rules may have on some.

Whatever you decide to do, please consider how these latest changes might affect everyone differently.
