One of the newest of Lanzarote’s resorts, Playa Blanca, in the far south of this Canary island, makes for a laid-back, easy-going getaway. Slow the pace down even further with a stay at the adults-only Elba Premium Suites, located just a little way out of town. Part of the Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort, the all-suite accommodations are set in an exclusive and blissfully private area, where peace and quiet is a given.
Flanked by fountains and oversized planters, Elba Premium Suites has its own separate entrance and is a sleek, well-designed haven throughout. An idyllic swimming pool, long enough to do some serious laps, is surrounded by sun loungers and Balinese beds, with the dramatic sight of volcanic mountains looming in the distance. You’ll dine in dedicated restaurant El Mirador, which also offers a slick bar in the evenings. Housed in whitewashed bungalows scattered among well-kept gardens, suites are similarly sophisticated, adding to the overall air of exclusivity. |
