Earth Appeal

Time is running out to show us your Green! April is a special month when we come together to celebrate our beautiful planet and raise the funds needed to continue supporting the next generation of environmental leaders taking action to protect our planet for decades to come. This Earth Month, Grades of Green elevated the projects of our Eco-Leaders to multiply their impact in communities around the world. Together, we shared our mission with thousands of new people, encouraging them to make a positive impact on the planet, every day. Today, we are asking you to earn your wings and join us in creating a cleaner, healthier planet with a donation to Grades of Green and the students who are changing the world for the greener.

Earth Month Events
Subaru Pacific
Veggie Grill
For over 10 years, Subaru Pacific has shared the love with Grades of Green as one of their community partners. Their support fuels our programs to educate and empower students to lead environmental change. Hear how our SOAR Green Leadership Academy students are looking to make systemic change on June 4th at Subaru Pacific at the first Sustain-A-Thon!
Throughout the month, Veggie Grill has supported Grades of Green by donating 50% of purchases at select locations. On April 17, at the El Segundo Plaza restaurant the Grades of Green team, Board, friends, family, and students came together to celebrate meatless Monday and sample delicious, planet friendly meals, all in support of Grades of Green.
LACOE Green Schools Symposium
Los Angeles County Sanitation District
Grades of Green recently attended the Los Angeles County Office of Education Green Schools Symposium at Eagle Rock Elementary School. School administrators, teachers, and principals were wowed by the free Grades of Green programs available to keep their schools and communities healthier and happier.
For over a decade, LA County Sanitation District has supported our educational programs with funding and student tours. This Earth Day, students and community members learned about waste, water, and sustainability from dozens of environmental organizations including Grades of Green. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future!
Student Stories
Seeds of Sustainability
All year, Grades of Green Eco-Leader, Marie, has been planning an amazing RISE project: to plant 245 trees and educate four schools on the importance of preserving nature. Her efforts to spread the message of the critical role that trees play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem have been widely recognized, with appearances on national television and radio in Cameroon. Marie has not only made a positive impact on the environment but inspired others to take action towards a more sustainable future. Way to plant the seeds, Marie!
Ground Breaking Work
These Agoura High School students are competing in our RISE program with a goal to spread awareness about regenerative agriculture. They have met with local farm owners to discuss the benefits of regenerative farming, conducted an advocacy campaign through their Regenerative Agriculture Campaign account on Instagram, and hosted in-person events to emphasize the environmental significance of this climate solution. Closing out Earth month, the team held a free screening of the eye-opening documentary Kiss the Ground at their high school to further educate their schoolmates and community members about agricultural solutions to the climate crisis. Team Agoura is digging deep!

A Passion for Eco-Fashion
Green is the new black and luckily, sustainability never goes out of style! Students from the Mira Costa Green team hosted their second annual clothing swap with hundreds of pieces of clothing. Dozens of people discovered their inner fashionista and scored some new looks with zero environmental impact! Strike a pose for Mother Earth!
