Celebrating Canberra's Community Spirit |
|
Hello Canberra! ABC Radio Canberra’s Community Spirit Awards are underway and we can’t do it without you! At a time when good news can be trickier than finding a free park in the Parliamentary triangle, we want to highlight some of the inspiring people and organisations making a difference in our community. Over the last few weeks and during our Your Stories initiative, the ABC Canberra team and I have met amazing individuals who have made an invaluable contribution to life in Canberra. Check out some of their stories below. If you know someone or a team who deserves to be recognised, nominate them now. Nominations close this Thursday at midnight so don’t just sit back and wait to see who is recognised. Make sure you listen to ABC Radio Canberra on 666AM or online in the coming weeks as we announce the finalists. Tune in to Afternoons as I announce the finalists for the School Community Champion category. All the best! Georgia Stynes ABC Radio Canberra host of Afternoons |
