Small Business Bonus Scheme

This Scottish Government scheme helps owners of non-domestic properties, including businesses, with a lower rateable value to claim non-domestic rates relief.

For businesses with two or more properties, if the total rateable value for all properties is less than £35,000, then you can claim 25 per cent relief on individual properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or less.

Fully Funded Consultancy Support For Fife-based Businesses

Fife’s Specialist Business Advice programme can provide SMEs in Fife that are looking to develop with consultancy support. Tailored, expert advice is available from specialists across a range of topics, from business strategy to sales and marketing and from financial planning to IT. 

The Specialist Business Advice programme is delivered by Business Gateway Fife on behalf of Fife Council. It is fully funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Phoenix Decorating Scotland Continues To Rise

Phoenix Decorating Scotland Ltd, based in Markinch, Glenrothes, provides painters and decorators to housebuilders and commercial developers for large building contracts.  The business, run by Iain Matthew, started in April of this year, after the previous owners of Phoenix Decorating Services retired. 

After many discussions over the years, prior to the buyout, it was agreed that Iain would join the company to see how they did things, but more importantly, to start networking with the clients.
