Hello, Tuesday is when we round-up the latest planning and property news for you. Residents in Farington Moss, who will directly neighbour the proposed Lancashire Cricket ground, believe they are being ignored throughout its consultation process. The four houses on Fowler Avenue will lie 40 metres away from the new ground, which will provide a year-round sports facility for Lancashire, hosting a number of competitive matches each year when Emirates Old Trafford is unavailable, and providing a training base for the men’s and women’s teams. Elsewhere, work has begun on clearing a site on Preston Docks for the city's latest Aldi store. Contractors are demolishing the former Trident building which has been empty for more than three years. The German retailer is also set to begin building a new store on the site of the old Cottam Brickworks, taking them up to six in the city in all. In other news, elderly residents living on a Lancashire residential park have been given a crucial date in their battle with site owners. People at the West End Residential Park in Kirkham, have been locked in a bitter dispute with Hill Brothers Residential And Leisure Parks since they took over the site in December 2018.
