Alumni films showcased and nominated at American Indian Film Festival

American Indian Film Festival

Congratulations to the alumni whose films begin screening today at the American Indian Film Festival (AIFF).

AIFF runs from November 6 to 14, virtually streaming over 102 films. Alumni are represented in the feature, documentary and short categories – with some being nominated for awards.

  • Eagle and Hawk Take the Stage – directed by Vince Fontaine (CBC New Indigenous Voices), produced by Kyle Bornais (NSI Features First)
  • Ego of a Nation – writer/director/producer Janet Rogers (NSI IndigiDocs, TELUS STORYHIVE)
  • Whiteface – directed by Everett Sokol (TELUS STORYHIVE)

Congratulations to Monkey Beach, Parallel Minds and Ruthless Souls for their nominations for best film, Loretta Todd for her nomination for best director, and Mary Galloway for her nomination for best actress.
