Short filmmakers: Submit to NewFilmmakers LA

Do you have a Canadian indie film you want to show to audiences in LA? Submit to NewFilmmakers LA (NFMLA).

The monthly festival provides a forum for independent and emerging filmmakers to get recognition, exposure to new audiences and make connections with industry professionals. The fest boasts over 120,000 indie film supporters in the Los Angeles community.

NFMLA has established itself as a strong gathering place for independent cinema, screening 2,500+ films from over 75 countries.

NFMLA has built relationships and alliances with CAA, WME, ICM, Variety Magazine, DreamWorks, HFPA, ShortsHD, FOX Studios, Disney, AMPAS, Sony Pictures, Seed&Spark, Netflix, SAG-AFTRA, KTLA and more to benefit the selected filmmakers.

Dark Forest released on DVD, Blu-Ray February 13

Dark Forest, a slasher feature from Roger Boyer (NSI Storytellers, CBC New Indigenous Voices), Craig Guiboche (CBC New Indigenous Voices) and David Zellis (NSI Totally Television) is released on Blu-Ray and DVD on February 13 across Canada through independent retailers.

In Dark Forest, Emily is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Peter. Her best friends Michelle, Jolene and Francine plan a camping trip and she sneaks off with them for the weekend. Peter is furious and searches the woods for his girlfriend, killing anyone who stands in his way.
