USA Gymnastics interim President and CEO Mary Bono has resigned four days after being hired amid backlash over a controversial tweet about Nike. Olympian Simone Biles has condemned Bono's tweet, and former teammate Aly Raisman has called out USA Gymnastics for hiring someone affiliated with a law firm accused of covering up abuse by team doctor Larry Nassar.

D.C. Council officially repeals tipped worker wage increase
The D.C. Council voted Tuesday to overturn Initiative 77, a ballot measure approved by voters in June that would have raised the minimum wage for tipped workers. The repeal bill, which also includes requirements for sexual harassment training, has been sent to Mayor Muriel Bowser for a final signature.

Call of Duty fund finds employment for 50,000 vets
Activision Blizzard has secured jobs for 50,000 US veterans since 2009 by supporting skills-training nonprofits through its Call of Duty Endowment. "Our approach is to marry commonsense business practices with philanthropy, which enables us to place vets in jobs at about one-sixth the cost per placement of US Department of Labor efforts," says Executive Director Dan Goldenberg.
