I apologize there have been no Daily Devotionals for the last few days.  One of the issues with being a one-man show is when unexpected illness puts you on you back and there is no one else to do the work of putting it together.  I am on the mend and hope to get back to doing everything over the next couple days.  Thank you for your patience with me.   Barton Golding, editor

1858 - President Brigham Young supervises the evacuation of the northern Utah settlements, including Salt Lake City, as the United States Army prepares to enter the territory during the so-called "Utah War."  Led by Albert Sidney Johnston, the troops would pass through Salt Lake City and take up residence near Fairfield, Utah, south of Salt Lake Valley.

1994 - Church member, Jerry Molen, receives an Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as co-producer of the film Schindler's List.
