LAUNCH Eco-Toolkits educate and empower educators and students to lead impactful eco-projects in their schools and communities, creating long lasting environmental change and earning "Leaves" along the way. Using our "Leaferboard," LAUNCH participants can track their leaf earnings and compete for recognition as the most impactful LAUNCH team. At the end of the school year, we reward and recognize the most impactful team with a well-deserved $1,000 stipend!
Congratulations to Tabitha Goins, the lead custodian at Dunn's Corner Elementary School in Westerly, Rhode Island, and her awesome team of 250 students for being the most impactful LAUNCH team of the 2022-2023 school year!
Tabitha and her team of students implemented numerous LAUNCH Eco-Toolkits on campus. Together, they established 33 sorting stations for lunchtime waste. Tabitha's incredible team also rescued a whopping 150 food items for donation, making a huge impact in the amount of food waste sent to the landfill. Way to go, Tabitha and her eco-squad!
High-fives all around for Rosewood STEM Magnet of Urban Planning and Urban Design! This year, they conquered not one, not two, but FOUR fantastic LAUNCH Eco-Toolkits: How to Form a Green Team, Campus Composting, Classroom Recycling, and Earth Week Daily Activities. In their exploration of the Classroom Recycling LAUNCH toolkit, the students discovered that 70% of waste in their trash bins were improperly disposed of. Rosewood STEM students also diverted approximately 100 pounds of food waste from the landfill for their Campus Composting toolkit. Keep soaring to new green heights, Rosewood STEM!
“It is a great introduction lesson for students to collaborate, especially at the beginning of the year. I introduce all programs to students so they can start the team and a specific project at the same time. This way, they explored various ideas with the team members and shared ideas between groups.”
- Olivia Lam, Teacher at Rosewood STEM

Powering Change Together!
The challenges facing our environment are BIG, but that doesn’t mean we can’t overcome them together. The best way we can create significant change on our planet is to unite together in the fight against climate change. By forming a Student Green Team at your school, you will create a community that accomplishes more as a group than anyone could individually.
Gear up for sustainable success this upcoming school year by bringing more of our programs to your campus!
RISE
The RISE Climate Solutions Campaign guides students to develop a project to address climate change in their communities. Guided by Grades of Green staff, participating students will learn about the climate crisis, develop a project to make an impact, and learn leadership skills that will guide them to success!
SOAR
SOAR Eco-Innovation Academy is a forward-thinking program that empowers motivated high school students to understand and lead environmental progress in today’s top industries. With mentorship and real-world guidance from Grades of Green staff and corporate partners, students will collaborate to develop and drive better environmental standards now and into the future.
UPLIFT
Our UPLIFT District Partnerships program develops implementation plans to support compliance with SB 1383 (California’s state mandated Organics Waste Recycling Bill) via experiential, hands-on LAUNCH and RISE programs, Organic Waste Compliance Workbook for Districts, and local environmental program matching.
Join us in nurturing a generation that will make a difference for our planet and future generations.
