Kaitlyn Lasitter survived, and doctors were able to re-attach her right foot. But they could not save her left, and Kaitlyn now walks with a prosthesis.
#2 Lisinopril—Hidden DangersLas Vegas, NV Many prescription drugs are as common as aspirin; it's no wonder that many consumers don't read warning labels or consider that a medication could be associated with side effects. Take Lisinopril, for instance. It is one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the US, and it also has the potential to harm a lot of people.
#3 Another Monsanto Roundup Lawsuit filed in CaliforniaSan Francisco, CA Monsanto has been hit with another lawsuit claiming its Roundup product causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and other cancers. Plaintiff Michael Langford of Sacramento was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2007 and later developed other cancers. Langford’s Monsanto lawsuit filed in late June comes on the heels of a claim also filed in June. An Ohio resident filed suit in Delaware Superior Court claiming her non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was also the result of many years’ exposure to Roundup in the care of her home garden.

#5 Lisinopril Associated with Many Serious Side Effects, Including Angioedema and Liver DamageHouston, TXLisinopril, used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and heart attack, is associated with many side effects including liver damage. Beverly was diagnosed with angioedema (which can be life-threatening) as a direct result of Lisinopril, according to her hospital doctors.
#6 Seroquel Side Effects for the ElderlyPearblossom, CA Seroquel is a neuroleptic indicated for the treatment of bipolar disorder—and like most drugs carries a host of Seroquel side effects, including diabetes, tardive dyskinesia and even birth defects. However, there is a little-known use for Seroquel off-label that concerned the daughter of one Alzheimer's patient for whom she was caring.
#7 ABM Industries to Settle Janitors’ Wage Lawsuits for $140 MillionSan Francisco, CA On July 8, ABM Industries entered into a written agreement to settle the consolidated lawsuits, ABM Industries Overtime Cases (also known as the “Bucio case”), pending in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. Filed in 2006, the lawsuits allege that ABM’s prior timekeeping and payment practices shortchanged as many as 50,000 janitorial employees in violation of the California Labor Code. Under the terms of the proposed settlement, ABM will pay a total sum of $140 million to resolve all claims. The settlement remains subject to court approval.
#8 Bank of America Settles California Labor LawsuitsSanta Clara, CA The Bank of America (BofA) California reached an agreement whereby $11.5 million will be paid to approximately 25,000 tellers, personal bankers and operations managers. The settlements stem from three proposed class actions alleging California labor law violations, including overtime and off-the-clock work.
#9 What to Expect in Zantac Cancer Lawsuits for 2021 and BeyondWest Palm Beach, FL As 2020 draws to a close, the toll of death and injury from Zantac-related cancers continues to rise, as do the number of Zantac cancer lawsuits. Meanwhile, In Re: Zantac (Ranitidine) Products Liability Litigation, the multidistrict litigation into which many of the individual lawsuits have been consolidated, grinds on without much apparent news.
#10 Fosamax: Are the Benefits Worth the Risks?Los Angeles, CA Depending on who you ask, the risks of Fosamax side effects are either greater than the benefits or vice versa. Despite research into the link between Fosamax and femur fractures, there is little consensus about whether or not patients should be especially concerned about Fosamax femur fractures or Fosamax osteonecrosis of the jaw.
