| Lead writer for future Anti-Black racism advisory The College has partnered with Amorell Saunders N’Daw to provide professional advice on anti-Black racism for Ontario Certified Teachers. Saunders N’Daw is the principal of Amorell & Co, as well as Partner and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at KBRS, one of Canada’s leading authorities on human capital. |
| | | Meet our new roster appointees! Meet the professionals who have been appointed to adjudicate matters until a new College Council, committees, and rosters of panellists are established. Interested? You can also get involved in shaping the future of student safety and well-being. The College is looking for people with sound judgment who can be objective and make fair decisions for the good of the public. Starting late August, we will accept applications from Ontario Certified Teachers and members of the public to join in the work of the College, which regulates the teaching profession in the public interest. More details on how to apply will be communicated soon. |

| Sexual abuse prevention program in development The College has completed its consultation of stakeholder groups and College members to inform the development of its sexual abuse prevention program. With a program model now established, work will continue over the summer on the development of content and resources for the education program, as well as program administration and course delivery. Legislated by the government, the program is scheduled to launch in January 2022. |

| New high school sign language courses The College applauds the Ministry of Education’s plan to provide high school students with the opportunity to learn American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes qubcoise (LSQ) as a second language. Similarly, the College is developing new Additional Qualification course guidelines that will support teachers who will deliver the new ASL and LSQ curriculum. |

| Professional boundaries webinar In April, the College hosted a free webinar for Ontario Certified Teachers on how to maintain professional boundaries in and out of the classroom.
