New: AI Jump Start grant program
In collaboration with Duke University Libraries and Duke Health, we are pleased to share a new call for proposals to support Duke faculty incorporating generative AI into an aspect of their existing 2024-25 courses. This AI Jump Start Grant program is in support of the Duke 2030 goals and ambitions to transform teaching and learning at Duke. Application review will begin July 1 and continue until sufficient projects have been accepted and funded. |

| The focus for this year's Summit will be "Designing and Scaling Transformative Learning For All." The Summit will be free for Duke attendees and $350 for non-Duke attendees. This workshop will cover the principles of accessibility and how to apply them when designing your course sites in Canvas. Meet the 2024 Collaborative Project Courses Faculty Fellows
|
LILE and Bass Connections are pleased to welcome the third cohort of Collaborative Project Courses Faculty Fellows. The program — which kicked off on May 13 with three days of intensive, in-person workshops — supports faculty interested in designing courses in which student learning is driven by collaborative research on applied projects that extend across an entire semester. This year’s cohort includes 19 faculty affiliated with five Duke schools, two university institutes and North Carolina Central University. |

Special Call: Bass Connections Projects Related to International Geopolitics and Humanitarian Crises in the Middle East and Beyond |
Proposals due July 12 at 5 pm In partnership with the Provost’s Initiative on the Middle East, Bass Connections is now accepting proposals for year-long projects starting in Fall 2024 that engage students in the exploration of the humanitarian implications of geopolitical conflict in the Middle East and elsewhere across the globe.
