Leon Heinschke wins German U23 Road Race The second edition of the Drei-Länder-Meisterschaft were held this year in Gippingen, Switzerland. Development Team Sunweb started the day with a plan and executed it to perfection throughout the race. Waiting until the final laps, the race was split on the circuit's climb. Strong riding ensured the day would be decided by a reduced bunch on the uphill drag to the line; which Leon Heinschke duly won with a superb kick to the finish. A result that means this is now the third year in a row that Development Team Sunweb have produced the German U23 Road Race champion, after Max Kanter claimed the title in both 2017 and 2018.
