To my fellow golfer,
While this issue is more focused on style than actual golf, I hope you find the parallels in the attention to detail it takes in both worlds. My advice to you: Inches make all the difference, on the course, as well as with your pant length. The best swings in golf always look the simplest, as do the best outfits.
It doesn’t seem that long ago when I would seemingly be in trouble for sneaking a copy of Golf Digest under the dinner table as a young kid. The feeling of excitement when the newest edition showed up at the front door took priority over whatever was on my plate. The swing sequences and the “What’s in My Bag” columns were always my first stops while thumbing through the pages. Those articles were part of my golf foundation, giving me glimpses into the world I so loved, and alleyways to help chase my dream of playing golf as a professional.
That dream has become a reality; a PGA Tour win and a card holder for 7 years and counting is something I can barely wrap my head around. If you told that kid under the table I’d be writing this letter as the cover subject of the latest issue of Golf Digest? Wow.
