| Is one open practice enough to assemble what the Saints depth chart might look like come Week 1? Almost surely not, but that's not going to stop us from trying now is it? There's going to be a lot that changes between now and when the Saints open the 2022 season against the Atlanta Falcons. Some players will get hurt, some will play beyond expectations and seize starting jobs, some will falter and potentially lose their jobs. But the Saints have been a fairly stable organization the last several years, and that is still true now even after they lost their head coach and future Hall of Fame quarterback in successive seasons. That means much of the 2021 roster is returning this season, and the few additions came at obvious places of need. So let's try and put together the Saints' first and second teams a few months in advance. Y'all go ahead and bookmark this so we can revisit how wrong (or right) I am in a couple months time. My take: Duncan writes these stories every year once the Saints have had a little time between them and the draft, and I always, without fail, learn something new about either the class or the way the Saints operate.
