Good evening

Few would deny that we are currently living in dark, historic times.

For weeks we were allowed out of our houses only for essential tasks, like buying food or attending GP appointments.

Now there is a little chink of light appearing over the horizon as at last some of our non-essential shops will be opening on Monday.

We know that many people will feel afraid to head into town and that is understandable. After all, the Government has been telling us not to for weeks.

But if we are ever to return to some kind of normality, it is vital that we take the first steps. Our shops have been preparing for weeks to ensure that all of us can stay safe as we enter and over the next few days we will be giving you more information about what that will look like.

Today we are launching our #supportlancashire campaign to help get the economy moving again in a safe way which we can all endorse.

We all want a thriving county, because that means a prosperous society. So let’s support our local economy and #supportlancashire.

Until next time, stay safe.
