Good morning, Who Dats, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for June 14. As you may have heard, the Saints had some tough injury luck last season. They started an NFL-record 58 players, including four quarterbacks and four kickers. A lot of the team's internal optimism about this upcoming season is based simply on getting players back who were not available as the team made a playoff push a year ago. So let's get an update on a few of those players, shall we? First up, tight end Adam Trautman, who was dealing with a little bit more than you might've known last year. Next up, kicker Wil Lutz, who announced Monday that he was finally cleared medically to return to the team after he missed all of last season with injury. And, finally, right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, who explained what was going on with the knee injury that sidelined him for seven games in 2021. And, in case you missed it, read up on the new Saints staffer who is hoping he can bring a new way of thinking that will help eliminate some of those injuries. That’s it for today, but make sure to check nola.com throughout the day as we cover the first day of the Saints mandatory minicamp. As always, thanks for reading. Cheers, Luke Johnson |
