Hi John, Last week we celebrated a very hyped-up day that’s supposed to be about love. I shared a couple of posts and sent you an email to make sure you felt included and seen on the day. But, I feel like there’s something really important about the days after Valentine’s when the roses have started to wilt and the ‘undying love’ you were surrounded by last week is feeling a little… dead. We’ve been taught as a society to value big gestures of love, but I want to encourage you to look for love in the mundane moments of your day. 🧡 When you cook yourself a meal you love, that is an act of love. 🧡 When your pets get excited to see you come home, they’re full of love for you. 🧡 When a stranger smiles, they’re sharing the love they have in their hearts with you. Here are three artworks that might help you remember to look for love (and to give love!) every day… Valentine’s Day is full of red roses, teddy bears and chocolates, but those don’t come close to the feeling of a hug from a friend after a challenging day. Remember that. Much love (today and always) my friend, |
