Wellness Not Intoxication: Reimagining Cannabis

Peek into a book that's pouring gasoline on the fire of cannabis reform at Lit Crawl San Francisco when David Downs interviews Steve DeAngelo, a national leader, cannabis activist, entrepreneur, and educator for almost four decades. DeAngelo's creation of the landmark Harborside Health Center, the world's largest medical cannabis dispensary, set the standard for providing safe access to lab-tested, high-quality medicine. In 2010, DeAngelo launched the cannabis industry's first investment and research firm, The ArcView Group, one of the top ten angel investment groups in the United States, and co-founded Steep Hill Labs. DeAngelo will be interviewed by San Francisco journalist David Downs (Beyond Buds, Medical Marijuana Patient's Guidebook, and Marijuana Harvest). Saturday, October 17, 6 pm, Latin American Club, 3286 22nd Street, free.

Litquake Loves Moleskine!

Moleskine brand is synonymous with culture, travel, memory, imagination, and personal identity in both the real world and the digital world. Moleskine objects are partners for the creative and imaginative professions of our time. They represent, around the world, a symbol of contemporary nomadism. The San Francisco Store (653 Market St.) is the first in the U.S. and second on the planet to feature the Moleskine+ wall, an interactive installation that allows you to explore how Moleskine+ products can help bridge their digital and analog worlds. Lit Crawl attendees who bring the event's bookmark to the new store will receive a 10% discount and a gift with any purchase until October 31, 2015.
