To our supporters, friends, and fans,
We could not be more pleased to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director Norah Piehl!
Norah’s extensive literary festival programming extends from a decade at the Boston Book Festival (and Boston Lit Crawl!) to the Bay Area Book Festival, where she’s been for the last two years.
Norah’s also a publishing industry veteran and is even a member of the national Books Critics Circle. We think she’s just great— gracious, unflappable and kind — and we’re certain that she will continue to bring fresh ideas and enormous energy to Litquake.
Here’s a note from Norah: “Litquake has for years set the standard for truly inventive, boundary-pushing literary programs that have invigorated the entire San Francisco literary community and enlivened the city’s cultural landscape. I’m so honored that the Litquake Foundation has entrusted me with guiding the organization at such an exciting moment in its evolution, and I can’t wait to work with the talented Litquake staff, board, and partners to dream up what comes next.”
Wow! We’re flattered.
Onward to the future! Stay tuned for more Litquake news next Tuesday, and be sure to stop by our website for a look at our upcoming events, including our next Poetic Tuesday, our final Epicenter event with Rita Chang-Eppig, and our complete Craft & Creative Life schedule. |
