The cake comes in a colorful, illustrative box designed to be just as enticing on the outside as it is on the inside. It also combines the best of an ice cream sundae, cake, and JARS—all in one dessert. The cake comes in three classic flavors—Loaded Cookie, Cake Batter, and Strawberry Shortcake—and is available for nationwide shipping. Each ice cream cake is $44 and serves 8-10 people.
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.:Meetings-primed property The Broadmoor has announced Gina Zimprich as the new sales manager of executive meetings, East Coast and Midwest markets. Zimprich has been with The Broadmoor brand for the entirety of her professional career and began in high school when she worked as a housekeeping attendant. In her new role, Zimprich will assist the company in its comprehensive yet vigorous approach to sales.
NEW YORK: Organic and natural meats company Applegate released an announcement on July 20 about its efforts over the past six months to make New York City’s iconic hot dog carts more eco-friendly. The brand partnered with a number of vendors in Midtown Manhattan to improve the “dirty water dog” carts, starting with replacing their propane tanks with 100% battery-operated heating systems. The change makes the carts produce zero emissions, zero air pollution, and zero noise. And since November 2021, the carts have also been serving up Applegate’s DO GOOD DOG, the first nationally available hot dog made with beef raised with practices that regenerate the land.
The French Cheese Board has officially opened its doors at 56 Spring St. The outpost originally opened in 2014 and now boasts a reimagined space with a selection of more than 1,200 cheeses and butters showcasing France’s diverse assortment—from soft-ripened to ash-covered, washed-rind, cave-aged, and more. The first-floor event space has also been transformed into an immersive experience where guests are welcomed for classes, events, and exhibits alike. The current exhibit, NFT Fromage from the Metaverse,features works from established digital artists illustrating their unique visualization of taste.
LOS ANGELES: Global shopping and payments service Klarna unveiled its first pop-up experience July 23-24. Dubbed the “Klarna Oasis,” the experience was designed to make mindful shopping as easy as possible by providing a one-stop shop to purchase conscious fashion and clean beauty courtesy of Lunya, RE/DONE, Westman Atelier, and more. Guests were offered exclusive discounts, and there was also programming, including a fireside chat with Klarna’s executives. While the weekend-long event is over, customers can still shop the pop-up on Klarna’s website.
